It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Bodily (89), an honorary life Vice President at our club and a club stalwart in the 50’s and 60’s. Ron was also the 1st XV Captain in 61,62 & 63.

He was always proud to be a part of Stamford Rugby and the way he and others from that era shaped the club as it is today. The picture shows one of the last times Ron visited the club, together with two other honorary life Vice Presidents Steve Fowkes and Colin Harrison.

As a mark of respect we will be holding a minutes silence at this Saturday’s game against Bedford Queens, 2.15pm kick off.
