The new season starts this Sunday, 6 th September from 10am for the Mini’s and Juniors of Stamford Rugby. It seems like ages since the purple, black and whites were out on the field but there are a lot of eager kids (and parents) wanting to get back into action. The club have been working really hard in the build up to this day, ensuring COVID rules are in place, including sanitizers, limited sharing of equipment and social distancing.
Mark Anderson, Chairman of the Club said: “ We are really pleased to be able to get the children back to playing rugby. The RFU have just announced that we have moved up to Phase 4 of their Rugby Roadmap which means there is limited contact allowed for the U9’s and over. From a safety point of view we have COVID 19 secure guidelines and a full risk assessment in place and all the coaches have been briefed. What’s really great is we know we are going to see some great rugby from the kids.”
The club always welcomes new players, girls and boys, of any age and standard. If you want your kids to get into rugby then either contact the club at or go along to the club this Sunday from 10am.
