It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Springett who died earlier today (26th March 2020) at Peterborough Hospital. Tony was a regular player at the club and was the 1st XV team Captain during the season of 1959/1960.

He was one of our longest serving members and a stalwart of the club. He was also Stamford through and through and once gave an amazing talk at the club about our wonderful town.

He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Ann and his family at this time.

 Rest in peace Tony.
